Meet The Team Behind Elms Tree Services
Elms Tree Services is a professional tree surgery business founded and run by Jack Brewer from our base at 36 Elms Road. What began as hands-on work in local gardens has grown into a team that homeowners, landlords and property managers return to year after year.
We believe good tree work starts with good communication. Jack still visits every job personally to quote — you deal directly with the owner, not a call centre or sales desk. That approach shapes how the whole business operates: clear pricing, honest recommendations, and work carried out to a standard our customers are happy to review publicly.
Our qualified team holds City & Guilds NPTC certificates for aerial tree work and chainsaw operations, and we carry comprehensive public liability insurance. We require no deposit, remove all waste from your property, and ask for payment only when the job is complete and you are satisfied.
Health and safety is central to everything we do — protecting our team, your family, and your property on every job. For a full overview of what we offer, visit our homepage.
Jack Brewer — Owner & Lead Arborist
Jack Brewer founded Elms Tree Services and still runs the business hands-on today. He visits every job personally to carry out the quotation — not a sales representative or call centre. You speak directly to the person who will assess your tree, recommend the right approach, and oversee the work on site.
Jack holds City & Guilds NPTC qualifications for aerial tree work and chainsaw operations, and can show his certificates and proof of public liability insurance on request. He believes in honest advice: if a tree does not need removing, or a crown reduction is the better option, he will tell you before any work starts.
From conifer shaping and hedge trimming to large tree removal and emergency storm work, Jack and his qualified team carry out every job with care for your property and a tidy finish customers consistently mention in their Google reviews.
What Our Customers Say
344 Google reviews at 5.0 stars — genuine feedback from customers who have used Elms Tree Services.
Have used Jack and his team before. This time for light trimming & shaping of several trees & conifers. Careful & professional work, clearing of waste and friendly service at a good price. Experienced and qualified team - use with confidence, highly recommended. Jack and his team returned for some light oak tree trimming, nicely done and a great improvement, all at a very fair price. It was also entertaining seeing them swinging about in the trees. Squirrels may have been amused too...
It was my first time availing of a hedge cutting service. Jack dropped by to do an assessment and was very polite and informative. He told me what will be done and that everything will be cleaned up. Though there was a hiccup on the initial schedule, he was able to communicate and reschedule. He always accomodated my availability. His team arrived on time on the day, gave me a walktrhough and confirmed everything before proceeding. All very polite and careful. Job was quick and tidy and ensured it was done to my liking before leaving. A pleasant 1st experience from Jack and team and will not hesitate to call on them again if need arises.
Very happy with the service carried out by the team to remove a Hawthorn tree that was dying, grind out the stump, and to cut back an overgrown conifer. Quotation received on same day that Jack came to assess the work and carried out within 2 days. By far the most reasonable quotation that we received out of the 4 companies we approached. They even took some old garden cuttings that we had not been able to take to the tip and which were too big to put in our garden waste bin, which i was really grateful for. Will definitely use Elms again for future gardening services required.
